Sweet Gorgonzola PDO wins award at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest

On the international stage of the World Championship Cheese Contest 2026, held in Wisconsin (USA) and organized by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, our Sweet Gorgonzola PDO stood out with a silver medal in its category.

A result that confirms the value of the product and the company’s expertise in selecting, aging, and promotion this fantastic PDO.

Among over 3,300 cheese in the competition, divided into 142 categories, Guffanti’s Sweet Gorgonzola PDO achieved an excellent score, recognized by a jury composed of experts and master cheesemakers from all over the world.

The jury particularly praised the softness of the paste, the balanced creaminess, and a well-rounded aromatic bouquet, which combines lactic and fruity notes with a slight hint of spiciness typical of the best Sweet Gorgonzola PDO.

This victory is the result of daily work that begins with the selection of the wheels, continues in our aging caves in Arona, and concludes with the continuous monitoring of every single wheel.
